4 Local Charities, Over 100 Balloons Popped, More than 100 Attendees, Raising over £1000.

We were delighted to welcome representatives from over 50 of Shropshire’s leading organisations to the Charity Business Event at Reech on Friday 8th September, which showcased the important work of four of the county’s leading charities – Severn Hospice, the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, Shrewsbury Town in the Community and the Shropshire Youth Support Trust .

Local Shropshire businesses were invited to join the team at Reech to see the charities showcase their exceptional work

Attendees enjoyed a guest appearance from Michael Stoddart, legendary financier, Honorary Fellow of the London Business School and ex-Chairman of Next.

This informative, but fun occasion welcomed attendees from Pure Telecom, Nick Jones Wealth Planning, Rockford IT, FBC Manby Bowdler, Whittingham Riddell, Brewin Dophin, PCB Solicitors, Lanyon Bowdler and the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce to learn about how their organisations could get more involved, raising funds or dedicating time to these great local causes.

Raising over £1000 through our Pink Balloon Pop Charity Raffle and Penalty Shoot Out!

The Reech team and guests gave generously, raising over £1000 for the charities through donations and taking part in a penalty shoot-out and a pink balloon pop! The competitive penalty shoot-out was run by Shrewsbury Town in the Community, with Stuart Carpenter from Shrewsbury Business Park Co-op taking home the winning prize of a signed Shrewsbury FC football after scoring a fantastic 150 points!

The Reech Pink Balloon Pop Charity Raffle proved to be a real hit, with guests buying multiple pink balloons for a chance to win one of the fantastic prizes. Our prizes were kindly donated by local Shropshire businesses such as Tanners Champagne Hamper from The Shingler Group, Bottles of Wine from the ARH Group, Traditional Afternoon Tea at Hadley Park House Hotel, Peony Flowers, Kerry Vale Vineyard Wine Tasting and Tour, Full Day Cookery Course at the Brompton Cookery School, Gift Vouchers from Sainsbury’s and many more.

Reech Managing Director and Founder, Rob Hughes commented:

‘The compassion of Shropshire businesses was heart-warming, with over 100 attendees taking time out of their busy day to take part, and to give so generously.  Feedback from the charities involved has been fabulous too, reporting that this was a fantastic opportunity to talk about their work to local businesses, raising awareness and rallying support.’
